San Ureshi, which means “Joy of the Trio”, is a newly formed trio consisting of Guzheng, Erhu and Percussion. Since its establishment in 2019, San Ureshi has been experimenting with various cultures, soundscapes and textures,
breaking boundaries through their projects and compositions.
This trio features mostly original music by Satomi Ohnishi and Zhao Liang
In 2019, San Ureshi presented original work for performances in Silk Road - Caravanserai, China Day at Elder Hall, and also delivered workshops to more than 300 students in one week.
Artistically, this trio has been involved in responding to artwork at the Art Gallery SA in 2019 for Islamic exhibition “No God but God” and in 2020 for Japanese exhibition “Samurai”. In 2021, San Ureshi performed with friends to contemporary exhibition "True Self".
San Ureshi has also been dedicated in engaging with the local community, especially younger audiences.
In 2021, San Ureshi developed a "Travel the world with kids' music" show - specially tailored for schools, families with young children, or general audience! It is a musical and cultural journey for many to enjoy! All music arrangements were by Satomi Ohnishi.
